Kathy Flynn: My Kaleidoscopic Spiritual Journey

Kathy Flynn grew up in Portales, NM. Her father was a liberal Protestant Minister and her mother was a character who lived to be 104. Kathy has served as the Community Mental Health Consultant for the state of NM; Director of Crippled Children’s Services (now Children’s Medical Services); as Acting Director of Carrie Tingley Hospital, Director of the CTH Foundation and Director of Open Hands, Inc. She has also served as assistant Secretary of State from 1991-1998. Kathy has also been a radio talk show host, a New Mexican news columnist, and is the published author of three books about NM New Deal public art. Currently she is the Executive Director of theKathyFlynn National New Deal Preservation Association, raising funds to conserve numerous New Deal era (1933-43) public art in NM.
