Michael Guzzio was born in Buffalo, NY and grew up in Las Vegas, NV. He moved to Albuquerque in 1990 to help start a local church and ministry training center where he served as a youth pastor and assistant pastor as well as an itinerant minister in the US, UK, and Mexico. Through several life changing experiences, Michael’s world view began to transform and he became interested in the Shamanic path. In 2005, Michael became an apprentice of Maestra Delia Tamez. He completed an in-depth apprenticeship in platicas, limpias, temazcales, fire guardian, 7-sacred stones, sacred songs/chants and is quite knowledgeable in earth-based rituals and ceremonies. Michael incorporates aspects of his Sicilian heritage in his healing path and Shamanic practice.
He currently lives in Albuquerque with his two children and enjoys serving people in the community using the Spiritual modalities of his Sicilian heritage as well as what he has learned from his teachers and elders. He is taking courses in herbology and completing a 2-year teacher training emphasizing in addictions.
