As exciting as the epigenetic study of our genome is, i.e. the possibility that we may have some influence on our genetic map and its prediction of our lives, Jeff is convinced that we may have even more influence on our physical, psychological and psychic lives. Through his usual combination of poetry, personal history and social science, Jeff hopes to present a wild ride through human potential.

Patty Nagle is currently the Director of Programs at the Academy for the Love of Learning. She discovered her love for the natural world when she came out to Santa Fe in the mid 90’s to do a modern day vision quest where she spent 4 days and nights alone along the Chama River just north of Abiquiu. This past summer she was reminded of her deep love of nature and the power of it’s teachings when she spent over a week on Aylmer Lake, a remote location in the Northwest Territory in Canada, just 80 miles south of the arctic circle. In her talk she will share some of the images of her time in Canada which will complement three questions that she came away with, and that she will carry with her for the rest of her life.
There are two reasons to write a book: One is because there is something the author knows a lot about—the other is there is something the author needs to learn a lot about. The latter was the case for Tzivia Gover, a Mindfulness Practitioner, Dream Therapist, and author of books, articles, and essays about finding joy and meaning in everyday life. Gover faced the challenges of a difficult upbringing, followed by a heart-shattering loss as a young adult. But little by little, moment by moment, she taught herself to tap into inner springs of well-being she never knew she had. Inspired by her own dreams, as well as teachings from various religious faiths and traditions, she has pieced together a practical system for living a happy and meaningful life, and delights in sharing her findings with others. In this talk, she will tell her story and share little sparks of joy along the way. Read more

Her detached, observer-self was always curious about what life was really about.
Having been on the path to discover her truth since she was a child, her growth has been an evolution through being religious, to spiritual and now feeling as though she has connected with her true message, which is the natural way of living life. “Spirituality and religion were created to be an antidote to the feelings of separation that have been created through the intellect. What is the natural way to live life?”
