In his last couple of decades (Not sure I really want to burn this candle much past 90 anyway), Jeff is revisiting a life long dream of living on a sustainable farm, on the river, with a small group of intrepid souls of all ages. Jeff explores the roots of his dream back in the ’60’s and then share the series of expanding events over the past years that have conspired to support him in risking it all as he buys a very run-down farm on the Rio Grande in Velarde, NM. Identifying and clarifying his vision, then summoning the hutzpah to commit to it have inspired him to act like a thirty year old again!
Jeff Hood is a poet, gardener, and adventurer in wild places. He has had more careers than is healthy, but most of them have been great fun and/or great learning. His go-to question, when faced with tough decisions, comes from Sai Baba: “Before you talk, think: Is it necessary? Is it true? Is it kind? Will it hurt anyone? Will it improve upon the silence?”
