Will Sharon spent the first 13 years of his adult life working in clinical settings, first as a teacher on the childrens ward of a psychiatric hospital and then as a therapist at the VA. He left that profession and spent a few years as an actor and then a law school student along with being a waiter and bartender to make ends meet. A chance conversation with a friend led to a 35 year career in the corporate world in IT, real estate, risk management and advertising, along with some senior titles and perks, all of which ended on his 57th birthday when, for the first time in his life, he was fired. What followed was a decade of loss and suffering that coincided with tremendous creativity and curiosity. Today he’ll talk to us about that period of “fertile misery” and his experience that led to redemption.
